WITH A FOCUS ON ETHICS, IMPULSE CONTROL AND LIFE SKILLS
The Discovering Better Choices program is geared toward reaching clients who are engaged in self-defeating behaviors. The making better choices class educates clients about themselves and models positive life skills. This is a general offender program that helps clients develop a sense of responsibility and respect for themselves and others. The course focuses primarily on ethics clarification (the source of our beliefs and attitudes), impulse control and self-esteem building. Our decision making class incorporates Cognitive Behavioral approaches and Social Learning Theory to establish a positive and diverse environment for understanding behaviors and motivations.
The interactive approach of the class gives clients the tools they need to identify their core beliefs and discover the reasons driving many of their negative and problematic behaviors. Participants will finish the course with positive alternatives and a better understanding of themselves.
