Class DescriptionFOCUSING ON ETHICS, IMPULSE CONTROL AND LIFE SKILLS
The Discovering Better Choices program is designed to reach clients who are engaged in self-defeating behaviors and educates clients about themselves and teaches positive life skills. This is a general offender program, helping clients realize a sense of responsibility and respect for themselves and others. The course focuses primarily on ethics clarification (where our beliefs and attitudes come from), impulse control and self-esteem building. Discovering Better Choices incorporates Cognitive Behavioral approaches and Social Learning Theory to create a positive and diverse environment for understanding behaviors and motivations.
The interactive approach allows clients to identify their core beliefs and discover the reasons behind many of their negative and problematic behaviors. Participants will leave with positive alternatives and a better understanding of themselves.
