Class Description
A 4-HOUR SEMINAR MEETING THE NEEDS OF PRE-TEENS THROUGH EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING TECHNIQUES
Program Overview
Client success is based on the age-appropriateness of the instruction in relation to the developmental stage of the client. The closer the relation, the more successful the client will be in incorporating the new ideas and concepts. Young Offenders is a progressive program utilizing hands-on, experiential exercises, activities and demonstrations to teach healthy choices and positive decision making to pre-teens.
Pre-teenagers between the ages of 9-12 years exhibit lower frustration tolerance and shorter attention spans than their teenage counterparts, often leading to poor decisions and choices. Age-appropriate class settings are the key to both their understanding and integration of the material.
