A 4-HOUR SEMINAR EDUCATING YOUTH ON THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS AND OFFERING REALISTIC STRATEGIES FOR QUITTING.
Program Overview
In Colorado, an estimated 250 teenagers start smoking each week. Tobacco is a $48 billion dollar a year industry.
Teenagers are the targeted population for tobacco companies. Approximately 35 percent of all teenagers use tobacco products and do not realize how addictive and dangerous they are until it is too late.
Teens and Tobacco empowers teenagers with an in-depth understanding of tobacco pharmacology, short and long-term health consequences of smoking, facts on second-hand smoke and smokeless tobacco, how tobacco companies target youth and healthy alternatives for quitting.

Who should enroll in the Underage Tobacco and Vaping class?
Individuals receiving tickets for tobacco possession and/or smoking on school grounds. Any teenager who is considering quitting and wants information
