TEEN DISCOVERY INTERVENTION
VIEW CLASS SCHEDULES
THERAPEUTICALLY DESIGNED FOR JUVENILES AND THEIR PARENTS WITH ON-GOING ISSUES RELATED TO THE DEFACEMENT AND DAMAGE OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTY
Program Overview
Teen Discovery Intervention is a powerful seminar utilizing a variety of learning activities and experiential techniques to reach juveniles and their parents dealing with continued destructive and vandalistic behaviors.
Clients exhibiting patterns of anti-social behavior, potential gang associations and general lack of respect for their community will learn how to minimize individual rick factors, understand consequences for potential future criminal behaviors and discover positive, legal outlets for artistic and creative expression.
Teen Discovery Intervention adheres to the philosophy that many problems are consistent with the client's beliefs about themselves and their surroundings. Self-defeating behaviors often result from thoughts generated from core beliefs and feelings. Clients exhibiting anti-social and destructive behaviors are often experimenting with additional facets of their emerging personality such as substances or youth gang involvement. This extended one-day program utilizes a number of counseling modalities, drawing heavily from Bandura's Social-Learning Theory and is specifically designed to reach the resistant client. Arresting anti-social behaviors and developing healthy, pro-social alternatives is the focus of this compelling seminar.
